Selling Items on Ebay, never again!

I listed my 700m Laptop here for sale a while ago, and I also listed it on ebay. This was a complete nightmare!

The first 2 attempts were scams from Nigeria, they clicked buy it now, and ask me to ship it to Nigeria. In my notes I say only US and Canada.

The third attempt went fine until the las tminute, when the price sky rocketed to 3,050$. When $800 was a great price.

I have now had to do a second chance to 3 ebayers, see if they are interested. The first 2 requested I send it to Nigeria! WTF!

The third one wanted to purchase it at 300$ more than what I offered it at, and send me a scam email saying i receieved the money in the paypal account.
This whole process took me well over 2 weeks to get done, and the laptop is still not sold.

Now I am SHOCKED! This is VERY annoying, the atmosphere of Ebay has changed. I will NEVER sell or buy anything from ebay again. This is complete garbage!

I would rather sell the thing for $400 to my roomate!

Ebay you have been SHAT ON!

damnit how did you know my secret location....

lol, serioustly, my friend is looking for a laptop....

Sounds like a bad experience, luckily I havent had problems like that.

If I were you, I would just use the auction option, not buy it now. Then if someone bids crazy high, you can cancel their bid.

Let me see if My roomate still wants it. Ill send you a PM in a few hours Ku-Sama... thx for the help.

Yeah that's probably just a bad experience.. probably from the same guy w/ multiple accounts. I've buy and sell on ebay for a while now and nothing has happened as of yet. I believe ebay has an option to not show your listing to other countries/places that you don't allow so in your case, people in places such as nigeria won't see it.

Yeah man... Back when I was trying to sell my Desknote, I got so many freaking offers from places like Africa, Nigeria, etc etc, it was crazy! There's just such a market for them, I guess... But I'm sure they'd be disappointed in mine, if they were to get it ;P My old batteryless beast!

they seem to target laptops...im not quite sure why tho this is the second time i've heard about this and both times involved laptops

If it's any consolation, I get huge piles of emails from all over the eastern continents by scamming pricks trying to purchase by credit card. I wrote one back and told him I notified his ISP and Interpol. I never heard from him again. I actually had to put on my website that I would not accept ANY overseas orders unless paid for in advance by cash, certified cheque or money order. That cut down on the number of requests considerably.

Jerks.
