I can get a AMD Sempron 3300+ Processor SDA3300AIO2BA for $52, do you think that is a good price for that? Also can someone recommend a good board for this processor that is fairly cheap. I have no clue if this is a good deal or not

Well is a socket 754, gettin old! you would be better off getting a 939 or AM2. Think you can get a 939 Athlon 64 3000 for about 65 bucks

Yeah that is what I was thinking, but this would be getting used by my girlfriend for school and some basic games.

well $50, its alright,
i mean you either spend $1000 for a computer, or spend like $300 to build a cheap one...
i personally don't like any in between...
minimum money spending on a good future ready computer is $1000~++
well as much as $2000 i think is worth paying for...

but really, buying like pentium 4 3.4gb is just right in the middle,
it sucks, not worth buying,
i mean if you are ganna get a good computer pull out some money,
other wise that AMD Sempron 3300+ Processor is good enough...
$50 is a good price range for a cheap computer,
but i think you can get it cheaper, or get something else for that money....
this one is cool

the above is whole built computer for sale...
but if you'd like to try build your own, get some bundle packages like this...

i dunno, that sampron package is what i first bought like a year ago,
it was fun building a computer...
and i ended up spending more money to get something better for gaming.,

of course i like this one too, but this is one of those models that are in middle range, where its not that cheap, and yet its not that great
whatever, it was worth trying for fun...

I understand what everyone is saying about getting something newer and more upgradable, but this PC is an upgrade for a 1.1 GHZ celeron. The Pc would be used for some lower end game play like NFS, WOW, and a few others, but nothing like Doom 3 or anything. That is why I'm looking for something cheap, because it is going to be used as a back up PC, so Upgrading it is not going to happen. In Jan I'm going to be building a Dual core system, but until then I'm trying to get off as cheap as I can.
