Brand Vs Product

Brand or product which do u choose over ?

Depends on what I'm buying... Usually, clothes, it will be the brand. Food? Not bothered...
 
I buy Cadillacs.. What does that tell you? lol :D

For food I don't care though. It all comes out the same in the end.
 
depends on what.. but usually a well known brand indicates quality.
like shoes... :o anyway,.. the big brands have to protect their names, if they dont make the product in a good price/quality balance,.. they get a bad name,.. and because their name was well known already,.. thats bad for buisness :)
but for me,.. i prefer quality over name. but then.. a nice name on something also looks nice. :o

erm... cant we take shoes as example please? :P

honestly.. if the 4GB RAM camse as crap out of tests, tend to break fast, or causes systme crashes or whatever.. i'd go for the Corsair.
for the note.. atm i use Twinmoss RAM,.. maybe not the best around,.. but also not bad at all :)
 
umm... ive posted in "general computer chat", so im talkn about computer stuff like vcard, psu, motherboard and etc, if i was to post it in "off topic chat" then yeah anything food, clothes and etc
 
A product innately encapsulates a brand ;) But still i go by product rather than by brand.
 
Alot of times you'll find products from better known companies are essentialley the same as lesser known brands (like two PSU brands initially from the same manufacturer, or two different sets of RAM using the same ICs). So I pick product. I guess you can't really say the same thing about motherboards or CPU's or etc, but you guys get my point...
 
Product for me. If were talking about computer parts, I wouldnt buy an x1600pro for $100 because it's a Sapphire, I would buy the type of product thats best for the money.
 
I pick both. if the brand is only a little bit more i would pay it just because it might be better

yea idk it would depend on what I'm buying. I would cheap out on a keyborud/mouse but not on the more importune parts like CPU, mobo, ram that kind of stuff
 
it all depends what it is, if it's a power cable/case then i generally just go for cheapest, but i prefer known brands of all other, although at the moment i do have an ebuyer extra value psu :P
