any ideas or personal opinions on best type or model cpu fans fo socket 939?

would have asked in other post but i dont want to ask to many questions in one post....:D

I prefer the Freezer 64. I actually prefer the "Freezer" coolers for many types of sockets.

- Zalman 9500 (nice but IMO overpriced)
- Big Typhoon both stock and with ramped up 120mm
- Blue Orb II
- XP90c + ramped up 92mm
- Scythe Ninja
Theres a crapload more too lol :)

I think this Pelko (with some mounting) would be pretty sweet on a XP120 or better yet a lapped Big Typhoon)

i like the warning they putted under the Fan.. warning, due to the size of the fan, it cannot stop immediately when you cut the power.. dont put your fingers into it please :o i mean,.. as if that wasnt obvious yet :)

I you want a quiet but still excellent and cheap cooler get an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro, read some reviews, it's a great HSF.

yep..... but if i had £450, i would spend £250 on WCing and save the xtra £200..

ive had my fill of phase change....

hmm... we have an old fridge standing around here.. ill have a look if you can refill the system again once the fluid inside is drained.. maybe i could build my own cooling then :) the only problem would be connecting the pipes from the compressor to the copper block putted on the processor.
what do you think... doable? ow.. sorry for the off-topic :o

i wouldn't try it.... full of CFC's and probubly can't take the load....

let the proffesionals take care of it ...:)

hmm... but the professionals ask way too much money for it :P
i think ill try to build myself some water cooling stuff then.. could be fun to mess around with.. :o

True, but its quite dangerous.... CFC's can kill.....:D

Water-cooling is fun when you get it right, looks cool, but if yiu get it wrong, you waste lots of money and can kill your hard-ware.....
