ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AGP 128 mb

ya it does have higher stuff, i looked at the sight you linked me filip and it wins in everything except like 2 things. Sounds like you really know what your talking about thanks much.

Well, I'm tired of listening how some ppl don't have a clue what they are talking about, and I'm a little pissed now so excuse me if I offended anyone, I'm glad I could help :)

?

I certainly am not a fanboy, I'm just stating some facts here, 9800pro has higher memory clock and is 256-bit, both have 8 pixel pipelines and that's enough, 9800pro is a better performing video card.

haha. No no dude. Don't get your panties in a bunch. ;) I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about Anand at Anandtech. He's the fanboy (despite the clown posting a GT review... lol).

Personally I'll take the 9800 Pro any day. I love those cards. The 9700 Pro was killer too. I have a couple of them sitting here actually (and a 9800 Pro around here somewhere if I recall correctly).

TBH, I wasn't sure who you were talking about but I replied just in case :)

EDIT:
The word "renowned" confused me cuz I don't have a clue what it means, I figured now, and I read your post too quickly so I didn't notice that you were talking about some1 else.

Well maybe i didnt read the whole thread. But who are you calling a noob.. Its good my rig owns yours

W/E dude, you still act like an 8 year old, a SLI/dualcore/2GB RAM setup would be an overkill for CS:S only so shut your piehole, I can always buy something more powerfull if I need it.

haha ok once again im set on the 9800 Pro. Everyone seems to agree its better than the 6600. Thanks guys

9800pro is trash now days

this guy was talking about oblivion and how it ran. 9800pro with the best core clock speed ran with 1fps in oblivion.

You can play it, but don't expect max settings. Even I can play it with my rig, but the FPS drops to 1 when the enemies burst into "blood" in the sewers.

his spec were

well thats becasue oblivion is a new and very demanding game. You shoud look at the system requirments, they are very high. I dont want oblivion anyway. I play far cry, half life 2, and doom 3 which the 9800 pro will run fine.

I believe it's the sign of a loser when he resorts to arguments like "my pecker is bigger than your pecker" and "yeah, well, my daddy is bigger than your daddy".

Its not going to be much of an upgrade from 6200 to 9800pro. get something new for that price that runs better with games.

I doubt doom3 on max settings w.9800pro. Or half life 2 on max settings with aa and af. you will have problem running those 2 games. I have 9800pro ask me. You will lagg in cs source with max settings aa and af.

Not long time ago (year ago) I had a 9550 with a 9600XT core, 3DMark05 was about 1900, I played CS:S on max settings with AA/AF on max too, I avaraged 40 frames per sec which is pretty decent considering that everything is on high, not to mention that 9800Pro is a better card and will have higher FPS.

My friend's 9550 ran oblivion good enough to play, there was obviously no AA or AF and the settings weren't very high, but it ran it well enough to play.
