ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AGP 128 mb

ya i think the 9800 pro will run doom 3 fine. Haha tystrasza. I played it on my friends computer, it envolves alot of thinking. Too much for me.

Oh, I think Doom 3 might be pushing it. Maybe on the most basic of settings, but I don't know... Tough engine.
 
I had the 9700Pro whitch is just like the 9800PRO. There decent cards, but not great. They play oblivion on low settings decently. Doom 3 would probably be able to played on medium-ish. I wouldnt get that card if you want to play newer games.
 
I understand budgets, but in my opinion, I would deal with whatever you have, and save up. Within a year, I will guarentee you, you will want to upgrade from the 9800 Pro, which will be even more outdated. Save up for a bit longer, and buy something newer, that will last longer, and save you money in the long run.
