MTLBR missing-error mess after formatting

I formatted a hard drive, and when I went to re-install windows it says MTLBR missing
It is the first time I have eno****ered it, anybody tell me what this is?
 
Make sure you're booting off the CD, not the HDD. Check the boot order in the BIOS to make sure the CD is listed first. After that, make sure to press a key to boot off CD when prompted.
 
You probably misspelled "NTLDR" which is the NT boot loader.

Cause:
  1. Computer is booting from a non-bootable source.
  2. Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS.
  3. Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file.
  4. Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.
  5. Attempting to upgrade from a Windows 95, 98, or ME computer that is using FAT32.
  6. New hard disk drive being added.
  7. Corrupt boot sector / master boot record.
  8. Seriously corrupted version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
  9. Loose or Faulty IDE/EIDE hard disk drive cable.

Have you assigned the cd drive as the first boot device? If you haven't the boot order in the system bios or pressed the F8 key when first starting or restarting the system you see this error from a non bootable hard drive being searched at that time.
 
Is there any particular reason you cut and pasted the first entry off your Google search and repeated what was already said? Especially when it's obvious that the greatest majority of those answers don't apply? Just curious how your brain works. ;)

I prefer to have verification on what I try to explain to someone. Plus I don't use Google too often. :rolleyes:
 
Hmmm. Ok Mr. Google. I was just curious. It doesn't bother me any (although if it was me I might have been tempted to trim it down to the pertinent stuff...but hai).

Trim it down? That's about as simplified it gets and direct from Microsoft. :P If someone made a goof talk to them on it! :D
