X1900XTX or 7900 GTX?

I'd go with the X1900XTX since its about $50 cheaper and is a bit better than the 7900 GTX specs wise.

and i have the 7900gtx. ATI for the win with avivo video converter and compatibility for hdr + fsaa simultaneously.
if you play oblivion the x1900xtx will definitely be better because then you can set fsaa and hdr on all at once, and trust me you'll want both if you pay that much for a card.
but, performance wise the 7900gtx is slightly better in some games, and the x1900xtx is slightly better than others. they're fairly well matched cards though, definitely great for gaming.
whatever you do get 512mb of video memory, definitely will help in more memory intensive games.
 
Iv used HDR + AA with my 6800 before. It was pretty interesting. Pretty much everything looked white instead of just brighter : ) lol.
 
did it lag? lol thats stupid how a 6 series would support it and the 7 series wouldnt... or does it? lol

Neither do, at least not with FP HDR. You can do it in source engine games because the source engine renders HDR with pixel shaders. It just isn't possible on current nVidia hardware.
