What's the 'best' PCIe video card under $200?

7900GS is a solid card.dunno what else you can really get for under 200 that'd better than it's performance.
The 7900GS would be good or if you dont want to spend as much you can get the 7600GT and it will play most games on high settings.

I have a 7600GT and it's wonderful. However, the 7900GS as suggested is a slightly better card. Probably about 20% better, spec wise, than the 7600GT. However, I suspect you could find a better price/performace ratio deal for the 7600GT.
Yep, because it is a GS, not a GT.

A 7900 GS is basically a 7800 GT with the clock speeds lowered a bit.....
if your not scared to push up the memory and GPU, it should be far faster...

It's a little less attractive now that some of the early price cuts have disappeared (It was readily available at $179 a short time ago, and was even the subject of a $140 woot).
Still a solid offering, though.

I was just saying that the designation "gt" indicated a higher level card than a "gs" of the same model number.
Yes, the 7900GS is good.
