Newegg and prices

Have you ever noticed the prices of certain products on Newegg, and then a day or two later they offer free shipping? I've been looking at several products, (specifically the G15 keyboard), and a few days ago it was selling for around $64.99 + ~$7 shipping. Today there saying that it's a special, so theres free shipping. But now there charging $72 for the keyboard, so your not really saving much money.

I've noticed this with all of their products...

I don't like it, I prefer the old style much better. I find the search feature even more aggravating. I liked having the guided search and other search options on the top of the screen, not the bottom.
 
That's actually a common place scam.

In Canada we have Canadian Tire that sells just about everything (nothing computer related though). One of their favorite tricks is to jack up the price on an item a week before a sale, and then issue a sales flier that says it's gone on sale at the regular price. I confronted them on this once on a particular product that I was familiar with. I almost got my ass kicked out of the store.

As well, I liked the advanced search options better as default, so you wouldn't have to load the page a million times.
 
i know a few more companies around here that also do that
they dont sell computer stuff. but they raise the price and give free shipping or raise the price and offer a "buy one get one 50% off"
 
I really done like the new newegg. I hate the options are on the left side and it is too small to read the whole thing.
