okay i was wondering if anyone could tell me how much or about how much it costs to repair a completely screwed up screen, the screen doesnt feel cracked, but its mostly pitch black as if it were turned off, and there are some spots that display light blue colored lines, the laptop was taken by some idiot and thrown down a hill when i used it for a show, i dont even know if it is fixable but any input would be greatly appriciated

thanks

The make and model of the laptop itself would be a great help in locating any online replacement parts for it. Besides the screen itself you may have some other damage there. They certainly don't make good on the 39 yard line!

It's really not all that difficult to fix a broken LCD. Easist is to just look for a damaged laptop on ebay(with a working screen, or course :P) get that and swap them out. Obviously, they need to be the exact same model or series...

Depending on what model you laptop is and the screen size. Example IBM laptop screen 15" cost 900 sing dollars for me...

Maybe it's about time to shop elsewhere... eh? We can point you towards a few good sites without problem.

Most of the time however when a portable sees damage from something like that something could also go at any time. Plus you find a better model for spending that little extra. Just don't let someone use it for a football!

Or if you don't really travel with your laptop, get a computer monitor and connect it to your laptop.

The laptop was used at a show; used on the go; was thrown over hill where it took quite a blow. That doesn't usually work out too well sooo... is the expense for a new monitor or new laptop the way to go?
