When having problems with Roxio lately to burn the Zenwalk 2.8 and 3.0 iso images BurnOn was brought up on the thread discussing the latest releases of both versions of that distro. If you don't mind the IE page opening right after an image is burned to disk you can go for the freeware version of it at http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/

I paid $100 for Roxio's Easy Media Creator 8.0 retail originally to burn Linux iso images for Fedora to see a freebie do a better job! there alright! BurnOn isn't that large and bloated and works well on Windows. If you are looking for another distro in the meantime Myah OS 2.2 was just released at http://myah.org/

BurnOn doesn't anything! You just have to close the IE window that pops up after each successful burn. :P
Okay, if IE pop-ups are your idea of well-written software then carry on, but I'll stick with an alternative, thanks.

I have for popup ads at all there. Well I could use them for target practice I guess. I'll just grab Freeman's gravity gun and send them on their way! :P (But then if I edit the program code?(sshhh... be quiet))

So far every burn has been good despite the "BIG ANNOYANCE" ! of closing the IE popup as soon as you exit the program afterwards. If you are already running Linux there are some good freewares there to go with. You won't see any dim wit ads there for sure. :D

ISO Recorder v2 is a freeware that has been updated to go one step further then the Roxio version that is seen in Windows for burning iso images to cds. This one requires SP2 be installed. Use the first download link at the top. http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/v2.htm "Here is the current build" is seen in green letters. The next link is for the 64bit version of Windows.

The problem with rewritable media is that it's mainly intended for drag and drop not burning to. Disk images like isos have to be burned to read only.

why is everyone making this so complicated just mount the image with dtools and burn the mounted drive with any standard burner, its as easys as... well anything really
