scam of what?

hmm, that kind of software always looks a bit iffy, but you can buy the same on ebuy UK for around 99p, so if you were to buy that it would be less of a loss if it didn't work, i wouldn't be surprised if it worked, but the quality probably isn't that great, and it would use a lot of you bandwidth, the best why to find out is to try it first

These are often illegal but some are legit, you have to check and find out if the people who are selling it have approopriate licenses to resell and to broadcast TV over the internet. Most dont, some do... Most of them latch onto previous streams from legit sources

Its very dodgy, and not to be trusted.

If they have to spam a forum to attract business (and don't think this is the only forum they've spammed), the chances of being legit are what? Say, one in 5 million?

BE CAREFUL WITH OFFERS LIKE THIS ONE !!!!!!!!!!

A couple of months back, I looked into this type of thing more thoroughly and unfortunately I erased the links that I found where you could see the vast majority of these types of offers is NOT legal and in many cases it is a scam.

You most likely would get the software, but the quality of TV is absolutely terrible. If you are looking to watch TV in english, then the channel selection is only a fraction of the total amount ot channels and on top of that, what they show are those free internet TV programs that no body has ever heard of and no one would ever want to watch. The quality of video is crap in 90% of the channels, and so-so on the rest of the channels. Often times it also happens that many of the channels are just not transmitting anything when you want to watch.

So, this whole story about feeling like you are getting a great deal and you will be able to replace your TV - well don't be too quick to believe it. Oh yeah, and in all the cases I found, they always said to hurry because the price would soon go back to the normal 70 or up to 150 dollars. Well, I've yet to see that happen.

I found a couple of websites that track scams like this, and on internet TV offers like this one, they tracked them down to some address in Thailand. It could be that this particular one posted in this forum is somewhere else, but still, be very careful to believe any word of it. In many cases the scams are presented a little different, but most of them were traced back to suspicious addresses in Thailand.

I also think the one who posted this should be banned from the forum. Spamming is not welcome here. Your post will most likely lead to the word being spread that what you offer to customers is not what you deliver to them - you just make it sound like it is some great product.

According to what I read, some scams will even offer to give you your money back if you don't like it. Ha-ha, there were reports on the websites I checked on this and many people had posted that they never saw that money again and had no contact information of who to get in touch with. Others did receive their money after they realized what a crappy service it was. Of course, their credit card and other information was something that remained in the hands of these people.

So, buyer-beware! Before you buy into this offer, do your homework to see if it really is legit and if it indeed delivers the quality it offers.

Sorry marquita188, not trying to call you names, it's just that it looked like the typical or event blatant spam and scam. What did surprise me was the number of posts you have - that was the only thing that did not fit the scam profile. Anyway, good that you edited it and put the links, so that it is all clarified now that you were just asking the forum's opinion on whether or not it is a scam. Again, sorry if I jumped the gun. I take my words back in terms of accusing you, but I still stand firm on the answer that, yes, that whole thing is a scam and I have read a lot about it.

I guess some might argue, that if you pay money and you get the program and can indeed watch TV online with it, then it is not a scam. I would see their point, but what bothers me is that you are being promised the golden nugget and what you get (based on what I have read) is more like a piece of coal. Oh, and by the way, the links you posted match exactly with those I talked about in my long post. Again, I can only base it on internet research. I have never tried it myself. After all the reading I did on it, it seemed way too "iffy".

Anyway marquita188 - sorry, and I hope we can be friends again? :)

PS - I just did a google search to see if I could find the webpages I read a few months back. Unfortunately I could not find the one where they explained the whole scam and even provided the name of the actual company which is based in Thailand if I remember correctly. I wish I could remember the name of the company because that would for sure come up on google. Anyway, here are just two links to forums where you can read comments from people who tried this program.

If I find the ones I am looking for, I'll post them.

Come on the guy is just curious.

I acutally have this program and it does work, you do get channels, however the picutre sucks and is nowhere near satellite quatity I would not recommend it for the price, you're better off looking for a FREE, legit webstream site. Here is a screenshot I tooko of the program.
