I definetly see it has a large effect on image quality and "realism" factors. But I still wouldn't pay more money for better hardware JUST to have the lines look straighter.
 
lol..."if" being the key. Since the day I got my first computer I've never had the money nor the hardware to run AA/AF. I've always gamed without it....so there really is no need to have it now. Unless I jsut get rich all of a sudden lol.

What card do you have? My AGP GeForce 6200 Plays most games on near MAX setting, even F.E.A.R.! BF2 is on MAX, HL2 on MAX, Flat Out MAX, etc. Weird that an AGP can do that huh? :D Actually that GeForce 6200 AGP is popular for budget AGP gaming. Its got level 3 shaders and now average sells at $50. That's a deal folks. And if you add a audigy 4 series (got mine for $40-with shipping) and raised my FPS up to 10 more than before. My build is a serious budget build.
 
I use a laptop, will probably not get another desktop for a long time. I'm into free games and old games...definetly not FPS or any of the new games most people play.

it's a radeon xpress 200m 128MB btw.
 
Oh, I see. Then you have every right not to get a desktop. Laptops are fun and I feel happy when I'm on one. Takes it freely as you wish among the Earth. I don't blame you. I play free games on www.miniclips.com all the time! www.letsgetgaming.com is another good site. POWER TO THE LAPTOPS......SOrta......
 
lol, i meant like MMORPG's that you dont have to pay for. my new fav is Knight Online, and I play GunZ and Kal Online.I still play CS 1.6 occasionally.
 
Oh. Have you ever played Americas Army? Its a full game and its free. You have to download 2GB and install it. It has no AA option so I just set it to that by the GPU software. I always have to highis ping :D but the game is super realistic, I can't believe its free!!! I play it all the time!!!
 
I used to have it, but not anymore. I guess I could give it another try. I also had the free Castle Wolfenstein one that you could dwonload and paly online. But it was too confusing to me haha.
