Which and why?

I just built a comp and went with the 3800+ duocore am2 socket.

Now im regretting thinking i shoulda bought the intel core 2 duo.

I also started thinking I shoulda went with the 4200+ but I think the 3800 suffice exp after OC.

idk, im computer dumb, what do you guys think??

prices both for the intel and the 4200 is only 40 bucks more than the 3800+.

i bought it for $198.

comments on my mobo appreciated as well. thanks

just a question... isnt the 3800+ X2 performing good enough for your need's?
i mean... if you just build the system, and its good for what you do with it,. why upgrade? because there is something better? trust me... there will always be something better..
also.. if you buy a other processor,.. with selling this one, you'll lose probably 1/3 of the price you paid for it, so if its good enough,.. dont upgrade :)

^^ great advice. I needed to hear that.

I JUST purchased it however. I still had the option to go C2D. But to be honest, all I'm going to do is dreamweaver 8, flash, ps, bf2, and source. I think it'd be plenty. I'll wait until the intro of the quad core's from AMD come out to knock down the other processor's price a bit. Then I'd upgrade. Hahaha

To be entirely honest, if your X2 3800 build does what you want it to do, and runs all your programs fluently, there really is no reason to upgrade.
