buying a new laptop

it doesnt look too too bad for a $600 laptop i guess...what kind of games are you planning on running. dont get ur hopes up thinking your gonna run mainstream games...even if you could on that system youd get pretty cruddy frame rates. but for doing all the basic stuff it should do you fine. games is simply a different story. but most laptops struggle to play most games anyways so ehh. not bad i guess id look around tho. you might want to find one with more than 512megs of ram. that gets eaten up pretty fast. just make sure you look around and know what ur buying

I wouldn't buy it for the manufacturer alone. What happens when you have problems with it? Who are you going to fall back on? Wal-mart tech support? Or some company in China? Also, because it was probably built by 17 year old Chinese women working for $0.33 an hour, you have no idea what kind of quality went into that product. Wal-mart has a nasty reputation of price gouging everyone, always looking for the cheaper deal so they can sell cheaper. They scour the world looking for the best buy. That is no incentive to put quality products in that laptop.

No, I would look for something more mainstream.

Looked up the manufacturer. They don't seem to be that bad just as good as an HP or Dell equivalent you even get the same warranty.

that was the same graphic chipset my desktop used to have and same amount of ram and it played fear in low settings.
but im usually going to use it for old games like stracraft, diablo, etc.. maybe 1 or 2 modern games that can play in low settings.
