would this even be usefull for gaming applications?
how would you set the third up for a phys-x card
alos the people who have 3 pci-ex cards are the ones who have like 5 or 6 monitors
cant wait to see 4 cards sli for gaming .... it will prolly be out next week the way the tech is progressing.
No ATI was supposed to come out with a support for 3 cards, I forget what it was called, but two ran in crossfire for graphics, and 1 ran for physics, however it wasn't true physics it was pretty much just eye candy. And I doubt 3 cards will ever be the norm, its gonna swap over to integrated cpu/gpu's or at least that is the direction amd/ati is supposedly going.i don't think The_Other_One actually meant a VIDEO card being used as a physics card... i think he meant an actual physics card... similar to this...

I am pretty sure it would just have to do with the motherboard which slot its in and the the drivers would be able to tell it what to do, not really sure though, its all eye candy though, so the actual physics of that games aren't better they just look nicer.hmm... curious, so exactly how do you set it up? how do you tell the GFX card to become a physics card?

Well yes in a sense, but its taking it to a new level that gpu's can't go to on their own. GPU's can make things look more realistic, but they can't make things act more realistically, which that setup would, but the physx takes it one step further and makes the more realistic environment interactive with the player.well that makes no sense... to me... why sell something that makes the game's physics look nicer??? wouldn't that be just the same as the graphics...
