Lagging/freezing?

My computer has a nasty tendency to lag or freeze(I don't know exactly what to call it) every once in a while. It will just stop working for about a second, and the music will stop playing for maybe a half a second. This does not seem to happen at any specific time, except only when I am using my mouse. Typing here like I am right now, it doesn't happen.

I have scanned for virii, but nothing came up. I can post a HJT log if you think it is necessary

At first it only happened when my system had been on for long periods of time (10 days +) but I just rebooted it a couple minutes ago, and it is doing it now

I have an Athlon 64 3500, 1GB DDR2-800, 250GB 16MB 7200RPM, IGP Nvidia 6100. 41 running processes, and only open programs right now (althought I regularly have 8-10)

What could this be?

Does it happen everytime you play music? If so does it happen right when the music changes to a different song? Otherwise I don't know.

Temps are all fine, CPU is just under 40C heavy load, and north bridge mobo, and system are all below 35.

try task manager ... click at processes ... look which process have cpu usage at the most ... if not your system idle process maybe your explorer running to high ... i'm just guessing

F@H uses like 95%, but I have had that running for the last couple of months, and this just started now.

Try closing all programs not needed and try then. Like use msconfig or something.
I don't have very many programs running.

Anything in event viewer?
Not anything of interest.

I think that I might try decreasing F@H's core priority, and see if that does anything.
