Yes I know BF2142 is coming out, but I hear it's pretty demading, and I don't think I can run it... But I had BF2 Installed a while back before reformating, and now when I install it, it will get to the third disk, then say fatal error, I retry it and it does the same thing as the same spot, what should I do, I tried my other disk, my brothers copy and it still doesn't work. For the primary IDE should I set it to PIO mode, becuase i think thats what it may have been at last time, even though im not sure what that does, it did it last time, but I thought that i would ask first, Thanks

Have you changed any hardware since the last time you had the game installed? tried cleaning the optical drive?

As for Battlefield 2142, it's not much more demanding on your system then Battlefield 2 is. If your not certain how it will run on your system then you can download the demo and give it a whirl.

yeah I'm actually downloading it now, and i haven't changed a thing.

basicly, yes.. its has some enhancements tough (like 1942 and vietnam) but yes, basicly the same

so looking at my computer, in my signiture do you think i can run it okay? I did system lab test, it said i would, but my video card was the weakest link..

BF2 can be played with a fx5200 already,... so yes, i think you should be able to run it too
