Alright ive decided to upgrade from a 40 and 20 gig (YAY)
i live in canada so newegg is out its either staples business depot...bestbuy ...futureshop
or ne where else u guys can think of im looking for about 200 gig or so hopefully below 200 if ne one has ne sugestions that would rock
and yes this is my first post:D thx alot

I found that Staples is much better with their customer service than Best Buy, but Best Buy tends to have better prices. Personally I would look into Tigerdirect.com or Compusa.

well sucks you can't use newegg. Would it still be cheaper to buy one from newegg via someone else and have them ship it to you? I knwo a 200gig HD seagate one on newegg is only 60 bucks. Does Tigerdirect ship there?
 
but is the online in the box and everything? and shipping like a couple weeks....i guess i could go that way if the prices are that much better

I havent used TigerDirect in Canada, but here in the US they have pretty resonable prices, and the shipping is pretty quick (within a week).
 
does it come in the box with all the instructions and cables and such? or is it just like shinkwrapped and boxed?
sorry again i dont know much about this stuff haha
 
Probably not. If you want pretty instruction booklets and nice boxing, go to your local Harvey Norman (that's here in Australia, I dont know the equivalent of where you guys live =]). But yeah, it SHOULD come with the HDD itself, and cables. Suits the purpose.
 
considering you're going from a 20Gb and 40Gb to something bigger.... what motherboard do you have? it wouldnt be fun if you get a big Harddisk, and then its not supported by the motherboard. ;)
 
a foxconn 665 mx i believe ... i am thinking of upgrading my whole system but starting with my HDD hmm good point man thx
