One freeware for removing junk files from the drive is called CCleaner. You can download that from http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Just be careful it doesn't remove something you or someone else still wants. ut oh...

Reducing the number of things that load along with Windows can be done with the msconfig utility. You simply type in msconfig at the Run prompt and press the enter key. The last tab on the right side is the startup group there where you can disable any and all things without effecting Windows. But that may effect video and sound features if you simply disable everything.

After a period of time and numerous software changes the system registry collects a large number of let's say now "useless" entries there. A good freeware for cleaning the registry is found at http://www.majorgeeks.com/RegCleaner_d460.html And defragmenting a drive should be performed or set to run periodically to keep the files and folders on the drive from seeing fragmentation.

Are you stupid or blind? Or both?

I meant uninstall unwanted programs,
Delete unwanted files,
and defragment.

I answered his questions accordingly and respectively to his question order.

You also posted a link about reinstalling Windows. Anyone could assume that this is what you were referring to with the "uninstall, delete" portion there. That could be taken as removing Windows and deleting the partition. Defragmenting a drive is part of normal periodic maintainence.
