I need a cheap MB with an AGP slot.

And do those come with the processor? If not, then I need the cheaped one with a processor.
 
Ugh.. I hate how Newegg has things now... You can't search by processor speed! Any idea how fast that is?
 
I really like my ASUS P5PE-VM Micro ATX for about $50.

It is only DDR, not DDR2. So if you want faster RAM, skip it.
 
isnt DDR faster than DDR2? ........... the fastest ddr is faster than the fastest ddr2 correct?

by faster do you mean high frequency? ddr2-800 has horrible latenceys as far as ive seen
 
DDR2 is actually faster due to the increased bandwidth. DDR2800 is obviously going to much faster then DDR400. One other difference is the 240 pin or contacts seen on DDR2 over the 184 pins seen on DDR. Both the bandwidth and the memory bus are faster. The slowest DDR2 is at 533mhz.

why does EVERYONE get that wrong? its DDR2-400 that would be the slowest

DDR2 is generally superior, both in regard to frequency and performance, despite the latencies.

The slowest DDR2 is at 533mhz.

2. DDR2-533 does not run at 533Mhz
