I am just curious if this is a safe temp. It doesn't raise any intial concerns with me right now, but what do you all think? I am running torture test on prime95 and speedfan says i am using 52 percent of cpu useage and it hovers around 39-40C. Is this a safe temp for this amount of use? Is this considered safe or normal?

I have a zalman 9500 and arctic silver.

Anythign I can disable in BIOS to lower the temp maybe?

Max temp?

Thank You.

(edit) its actually varying between 37-40C upon further investigation... :-P

Really, for some reason I feel like I need to be concerned, maybe because 2 hours ago it was 6 degrees cooler...

What kind of change in games and applications can I expect, well that you could predict with a 700 mhz increase?

I'm just curious up until the release of these new chips I have always been worried about OCing, and this is my first 'from scratch' build.

Thanks again.

No need to worry. You'll see a good jump in framereate, 700Mhz is quite an increase.

Great temp. You shouldn't have anything to worry about with the Zalman CNPS9500 temp wise.

I ran OCCT and Prime95 and it was 95-100% cpu useage and I got 45C as a peak, it didn't stay that high for long it varied between 40-45.

I didn't use superpi.

I think the case helps a lot because the fans are positioned right over the monster heatsink keeping it very cool.

I'll d/l superpi and see what i get.

edit: Which size for superpi, I have anywhere from 16k too 32mb.
