x1300xt is better, but not by a lot.

With $88.88 you can get 7600GS from newegg.

and with $112.99 you can get 7600GT

He's looking at AGP video cards.

i think the x1300xt may be better because it is running the ddr3, but the 7300gt is using the newer chipset...so i am not sure.....any suggestion?
You are correct. There is a significant performance difference between the DDR2 and DDR3 versions of the 7300GT, the former being a poor performer.

To be honest, however, I wouldn't favour either. Newegg has a variety of superior X1600Pros, and 6600GTs available at under $100. If your budget will stretch a little, an X850Pro would be a superb card at $130.

AH sorry !!!! I haven't read that he want agp card

Is there a DDR3 version of 7300GT ? I didn't know that.

Also performance depends on memory speed, not on DDR3, or DDR2.
DDR3 is just a newer technology that consume less power and can be clocked more.

X1600pro and X1300xt have the same GPU, and they have the same specs. X1300xt is just newer.

Yes, and despite the similarities in the naming the performance difference is huge. The DDR3 version features improved core and memory clocks, as well as the obvious inclusion of DDR3 memory.

My apologies.

Guys, he can't buy anything from Newegg, as they don't ship to Hong Kong. ;)

thx guys...actually the prices in hong kong is little more expensive than the us (i have checked in the neweggs), but of course, better cards cost more is the same ^^"

x850pro is a good card but it is over my budget.... >.<

but i am wondering 6600GT is a better choice than x1300xt or 7300gt??? (actually the price of 6600gt is similar to these two cards in hk....but i am talking about the ddr2 version though)

i agree 7300gt with ddr3 is the best...i have read some other reviews too ^^

but would my 380w psw be enough to run the 6600gt or 7300gt?? i am not sure about the voltage stuff ~.~"

Ahhh! the 6600 will beat any of those cards! the 7300 and 1300 are cheapo budget cards for non gamers. The 6600 will blow them away.
