Intel Core 2 or AM2?

i went for. . .

ive always been hellbent on amd's but this time around i went for the e6600 and pushed the boat out, this processor performs better than the fx62 acording to the magazine i bought this month and if u look at the price comparison its brill.

hey Jet, i didnt receive your PM.../sob

i really want 2GB, i got no clue to fit it in either. Maybe smaller Hard Drive? Cheaper Case? xD

AMD X2 is no difference for me. I do not do anything that requires 100% CPU.

LOL!!! But having an Intel Core 2 Duo is pretty good. I am sure Amd will catch up!!

EDIT: idid recieve it, but i do not need a graphic card. I have a X800XL Pci-e and 7600GT but my bro is using it.xD Mind changing it a bit?

I agree. I think that the e6600 will destroy the fx and its so much cheaper!

? so much cheaper? the place i am buying from, amd x2 processors are averaged 40-50 dollars cheaper to the comparable Intel processors

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ EE $189.95
MSI K9N Neo-F $104.95
Muskin DDR2 667 2GB (1GBx2) $286.95 after $30 mail in rebate
Samsung 80GB SATAII w/ 8MB cache $49.95
Viewsonic 19" Widescreen LCD $249.95
Antec Sonata IIw/ 450w PSU $114.95

TOTAL: $1061.48 after GST

Notes:
-Memory can be downgraded to two kingston valueram DDR2 667 modules for $20 less (http://www.memoryexpress.com/index....ctDetail.php&DisplayProductID=7283&SID=138733)
-Motherboard can be downgraded to this for $25 less, though I wouldn't recomend it.

Here you are, I need to go have dinner now :)

If I dont want to overclock, should I get the E6600 or AM2 4600+? Which Is better for the money, considering that the:

E6600 - $470 AUD
4600+ - $355 AUD

I would go with the E6400, but you can start your own thread if you want to ask a question :)
