Oh yeah. That is sweet for sure. PC P&C has always been the king of PSUs. This one will be no exception. What an awesome unit. :)

PC Power and Cooling Turbo-Cool 1KW-SR

PC Power and Cooling are discontinuing their existing Turbo-Cool 850W and 1KW versions in favour of this monster with 72A on a single +12V rail.

At least you will be relieved to know it made the "good" list.

Good:
Akasa PaxPower....Antec...Astec...AOpen.....Channel Well.....Coolermaster....Enermax.....Enlight....Fo rtron Source (Sparkle)
HEC......Hi-Power....Jeantech......NSpire.....OCZ Technology.....PC Power & Cooling....PowerMan
Seasonic.....SilenX....SilverStone.....Tagan.......TTGI/SuperFlower.....Vantec........Zippy / Emacs
Verax....Zalman...Corsair

But without a need to power a city I'll still my Antec models. :P

Man, who in the world needs such power. And would that ever pour out the heat! I wish my fan would speed up in my PSU, it's probably the warmest part of the whole machine. And nearly double that...geeze.

Its for the people who have a USB fridge and Toaster connected to their pc.. ;)

Is that all? I thought they needed the extra for the AC in the room added on top of the fax machines, micro wave oven, sidewalk defroster, water heater, home entertainment center with 200w JBL speakers, etc.. :P

Wow. We really needed your cut and paste list to know that PC P&C was the king of PSUs. Thanks for that. Without that contribution we never would have known.

:D

i used to have a PCP&C 510.... I was so sweet!! only slight problem is the lenght of the unit...

and the weight!

imagine a quad rail PSU with 72A on each rail..... im thinking about a year or so and PCP&C will have a 2Kw out with quad 72A rails

its 72 on one rail:
+12VDC @ 72A (78A peak) (Single Rail)

but im talking about future PSU's

their old 1Kw PSU had the quad rails...

If you have quad dual core processors, quad Sli, and 8 sticks of DDR2, 10 SATA hard drives, 5 DVDRW drives, and other random things with 100%cpu, not factoring in capacitor aging, or surge compensation, you can easily reach 1212 watts...

can you immagine the heat production,.. cable management?
i mean, hey, if you screw in some 150W lightbulbs as case-light,.. you can even rach the 3KW easely.. but it wouldnt be funcional at all ;)
(dont take offense of this please, Its not my intention to attack you with this)

Couldn't you have just said, "If you have a server..."?

:D

I imagine everyone else would have already guessed. But for some people like you there has to be "exceptions made"! :P

Well, thank you for your concern and all, but I think I have moved beyond the point of useless diatribe and cut and pastes of the obvious to try and paint myself as intelligent and knowledgeable.

Thanks anyways though, all the same. :)
