how to contact a forum owner?

recently there's a different forum that I occ post on, because it is related to my educational background

problem is that - someone has started removing my posts - my posts are short, helpful - I believe that the reason is - someone has sour grapes because they weren't able to complete the education - so they've generalized to reject everyone who has completed the program (like I did) (there may be others who are also having their posts removed for the same reason)

how does a person generally contact the owner of a forum to determine what 's going on?

can another poster find a way to remove various posts - I don't wish to even try this, but I am wondering how is this person doing this?

The only person who can remove other's posts is an Admin, Super Moderator, or the Moderator of the section you posted in. Most forums have a list of the Mods and Admins, so look for that and then send a Private Message and see if you can get things cleared up!

Are you sure the replies were actually posted? Sometimes you can press the post button and move to another page and then realize that you had to hold down on the post a few seconds longer. That will happen at times when the servers you are on start seeing a number of people logon. You should verify the reply was sent. If you rushed to another site or thread they have not been posted at all. It may not be where someone else removed them.

thanks for the ideas

thing is - I know my posts were posted, because this has been happening for 2- 3 days now (I check later in the day to see if my posts are there or not - sometimes they are, and then - poof - they're gone the next time that I check)
I replaced them several times, saw other new posts by other posters, and then later, mine are again removed

I'll try to find an admin or owner or moderator (it's a bit different kind of forum, with just one long continuous series of posts by date - not with the appearance this forum)
thanks again

--okay I found what appears to be the email of the owner of the forum that I was referring to, and I sent a message to explain my concern/observation --
--guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens

Well you may want to stay here rather then put up with some crapola being seen elsewhere. The mods around here don't pull that crap! Some of those other forums seem to have some real "flaky" mods if you get the drift?

I don't think that Robin is looking for a computer forum :)

actually - because of what's happened - I've created a Yahoo Group as an alternative to attract the same people - it'll be a little different than a forum, but it'll get the same kind of interactions (emailed out to subscribers) who can receive posts in their email and/or reply if they want to

I think forums and the groups are such a good idea
thanks again!

Well I hope you see some positive results with it. Just make sure you get some good mods ok. You won't want any repeat performances there! :P
