which fan is better for C2D and why?

either one, do you want a light or not, ask yourself that... the one without a light would be a little quiter im pretty sure...
 
I have the A2M version of that cooler (Black heatsink with green Led and yay, NVidia on it XD ) anyway's.. its very quiet too ( especially if you use the Fanmate2 and put it on about 3/4 speed :)
 
The AT one you can control the speed through windows, I believe, and would be possibly a bit cooler, but the LED model is what I have and I like it, as well.
 
true... the fan speed regulation it nothing more than regulating the voltage of the 3 pin connector.. and thats the motherboard, not the Fan ;)
( in order of it beeing the Fan.. it would need a I/O port like USB, or COM :) )
 
I was thinking that I heard that it had a 4 pin connector, so it changes speeds depending on the temperature of the processor. Let me look it up.

EDIT: Couldn't find if it has a 4 pin or not. I guess the main thing is if you have a case w/ a window, then buy the AT, if you have a window, then get the LED. The AT would have a tendency to be slightly quieter because of the black plastic instead of opaque, but you probably couldn't tell the difference.

good cooler. i also have the black one, but i removed the annoying nvidia sticker on it, and put the zalman one that came with the cooler on it. i don't see how nvidia has anything to do with a cpu cooler, but, yeah it's a good cooler.
