This is getting to the far edges of my knowledge area, but overvolting is just OCing the PCI-E bus, like you said. A voltmod would be actually modifying the GPU to draw more power, or something. I remember talking about that a while ago, or seeing something....or whatever. Idk....
I'm tired and confused....![]()
Then what is OCing the PCIe bus called?Hmm. It isn't overclocking the PCI-E bus. It is altering the amount of voltage for the Core or the Memory specifically.
Yea, that's what I was thinking of....i think.I think voltmodding is actually physically increasing the STOCK voltage of the card by using conducive ink or something...

so can someone please clear this question up? Will overvolting your PCI-E increase how much you can overclock your GPU?? Yes or No?
2. Can somone with a sureness of more than 60 % PLEASE answer this question:I am about 60% sure of that answer.
lol my 7800gt runs 15C cooler in full load...
i put an nv silencer on it though, so it ought to.
thats a real nice overclock. my 7900gtx hit 702mhz core and 1780mhz memory. i mean, stable in games and 3dmark06...
