Hey there. I just got this model dell computer. It comes with an AMD 3200+ 64
now i just want to make sure. What socket is this cpu and what is the best upgrade i can get for it at the moment? To go dual processor that would mean id have to get a whole new mother board and stuff right? Im just looking for the best singlecore processor i guess for it but if i can go dual core id like to hear about it. Sorry im a really big newb at all this i was just using a 6 year old computer when it died on me so i bought this and am looking to updrade some more.

no, you can get a dual core cpu for that board. i should've said a 5000+ X2 earlier. am2 fully supports dual core.
