newegg

Anyone ever returned something to newegg? I recently recieved the wrong card so i returned it. They sent me a confirmation e-mail that the package was recieved and the contents were correct. The next day (10/28/06) I recieved another e-mail that appeared to be a reciept. I have not yet recieved my refund money, and Im starting to get impacient.

Basically, I would like to know how long it has taken other people to recieve their monetary refund after their package confirmation was sent to them.

I recently ordered an expensive retail motherboard.
NewSperm sent me a open box item, NOT a retail like I paid them to.
This thing looked so worn, it must have been sent to 20 people before.
CPU cover had traces of white grease.

The motherboard was DOA, so I had to ship it back.
They charged me a $40 restocking fee from a retail price of a product they didn't even send me.

Serves me right doing business with someone who restocks DOA items, charging a fee to do it.
Since TigerDirect charges a restocking fee on damaged items too, I am automatically not doing *any* business with them either.

The refund was done two days after they received my sign-on-delivery package.

I personally have no grudge as they have always sent me good parts the first time around (and the right ones)for good prices and shipping. Looks like you two got unlucky. I would trust them with my life probably, with the service i have gotten from them.

I've returned a few things from them before. Are you sure you requested a refund and not an exchange?

I understand how you feel. I ordered no less than 100 items from NewSperm.com. From my experience, any business I dealt with always got cocky whenever I started giving them too much money. Try to avoid buying motherboards from these bastards. They are too easy to tamper with to give them the courage to send Open Box items as Retail items. I wouldn't be surprised if UPS got to pay for the motherboard in full. Ever wonder why NewEgg packaging has no label of their business. None ... whatsoever?!!
Yes, the smell is all there.

Go and knock Newegg you turkey!! I do alot of biz with Newegg and have never had a problem with them!!! I build comps for a living!

When I had a problem with my mobo that I bought from Newegg, it was only warranted through the mfg, and not through newegg. When I contacted Newegg customer service that the mobo was DOA, and I had to send it back to the mfg, and that I would get another refurb mobo, and not a new one like i paid for, they were very good about it, and sent me the $20 difference between a new mobo and a refurb mobo. I can't see why you're complaining.

Also XFs, why do you keep calling them "NewSperm?" Is that supposed to be an insult? If so, how?

Newegg packages all of their items themselves, except for a few, which they ship in the original boxes. Trust me, they do.
