Moms New Comp, $600 limit

yeah, so my moms getting a new computer and I already made up a build but im not the greatest, so if any of you can build Set up that would be great the limit is 600 doesnt need keyboard, mouse, screen or windows. just the pure system it should be a core duo with atleast 1gb and a video card the Gpu doesnt need to be great since shes just gona be useing it for internet email some online games and the hdd doesnt need to be big at all 100gig or a lil over is fine.

to be honest the tasks she wants to do can be done on a build of half that budget....build it for $400, and keep keep the $200 for your charges :)
 
She could buy a used computer off of craigslist for 100 or so.. I got a p4 1.8 Ghz system for 80. I think that would work great for what she is asking, why would some one need a core-duo or 1 gb or ram for those tasks... Guess I'm just trapped in a p4 world...

Well right now shes using a p4 2.6 ghz and 7sumthin ram with a 128 mem vid card and its just really old and im thinking maybe a other type a cpu will be fine but needs to be duel core
 
Maybe a pentium D or something might shave some money off of the build. Or upgrading the other comonents on the comp she already has.
