Nooo don't get that card, horrible deal. With 100 bucks you can probably get the superior 6600gt, x800, x1600pro. And with a little more, you can get the x850pro .

I think they are looking for someone to buy the card and ship it to them not advice on what card to buy

Guys then what do you prefer my budget is arround 150$

Which are the latest in nvidia and ati for agp 8x 256 mb
what about ati x1600pro

An X850Pro would be a better card. For an nVidia card, you'd probably only get a 6800GS at that price, which the X850Pro will beat.

At least the 7300GT is better than my 6600
He lives in India, and prices their should be more than the US. So, I think the 7300GT is good for him

I highly agree. Any x850 series card would be better then the x1600PRO. You can get an x850PRO for around $140 or so.

As far as the Ramdac both cards are identical with both having 12 pixel pipelines. The main difference between the X850 and the X1600 Pro is the amount of onboard memory. The X850 is a 256mb card while the X1600 Pro is a 512mb model.

It actually isnt. the 7300 is a budget card, the 6600 and my 6800 are dedicated gaming cards, kinda old, but still better.

Compare the cards - there are quite a few differences:

BTW, the X1600Pro comes in 256MB and 512MB versions. In addition, the X850Pro is unlockable.

Overclockability - votes: X1600 Pro(102) X850(26) Apparently the X1600 Pro gets more votes in that direction. Gee? Even the X1300 Pro PCI-E model did better against the X850 Pro PCI-E seeing 27 to 8. The X1600 Pro PCI-E got 51 votes there. :D

No my friend you are wrong

7300GT (DDR2 version) is better than 6600, because it has higher clock speed and memory speed. Also the 7300GT has four vertex pipeline while the 6600 has 3

The 7300GT (GDDR3 version) is better than 6600GT and X1600pro

Look at the specs, the x850pro beats the x1600pro in just about every single way, even without unlocking. As for unlocking it, its not guarenteed. I'm pretty sure you can tell from the fuse data in ati tools, if it ends with a E, then it doesn't unlock, like mine :(.

You realize that you can't say that one card has better overclockability just because more people voted on one than the other!!

Annnddddd..... The X850 Pro is better than the X1600XT. Realize that the X850 Pro has 50% more memory bandwidth, 243% more Pixel fill rate, 157% more texture fill rate, and 3% more Vertex operations, and the only thing the X1600XT has going for it is the 16% more shader operations.

The X1600 Pro has 12 pipelines. Try reading the specifications on it at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102682 :D

Thats wrong, the X1600 Pro has 4 pipe lines but 12 pixel shading units ( It has 4 with 3 shader units per pipe). Just search for X1600 pro specs by google.

According to these benchmarks th The 6600GT performs as good as X1600xt
http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/ati_radeon_x1600_xt_x1300_pro/page6.asp

So, the 6600GT should perform better that X1600pro

And since the 7300GT DDR3 is better than 6600GT, it should be better than X1600pro as well.

The 7300GT GDDR3 performs as good as X1600xt, if not better.

This one ^^ is an overclocked X1600pro because the stock X1600pro has memory speed at 800Mhz
