I just ordered this Is it good stuff? I usally use corsair but I thought I would try this.
I am upgrading from old 1gb pc2100 ram, will i see a big improvement?
Thanks,

I don't know what you do, but on the whole you should see good improvements across the board.

Ok, the extra gigabyte should help a little and the extra speed and lower timings will help a fair bit.

Yea I would say the ram that I have now is a big bottle neck.
I have A8N-SLI Premium,X2 4400, X1900XTX and this crappy pc2100 ram lol.

Well I put the new ram in yesterday and went into the bios and its on auto detect for the timmings, its saying CAS 3??? Also there is a list of timmings that I dont even want to touch cause I have no clue what they mean.
Any suggestions? Should I just leave it on auto? I dont want to make it unstable.

Thats what the tech guy said at kingston lol.
I just want the ram to run at full potential. I bought it thinking it was CL2 and fast timmings for gaming and it was a little disappointing thats all.

well.. 8% is still quite a lot imo.. anyhow,.. is that the only RAM in your pc? or do you have some other sticks in it? ( if those others have CL3,.. i dont know if you can put it to CL2,.. but if not,.. just put it on CL2, and you'll be fine :) )

Those are the only 2 sticks I have in there, I have a asus A8N-SLI prem. mobo and it has a bunch of timming settings? Should I just change the CAS# to 2 then and leave the rest?

well... set it to the timings of the kingston RAM, and try to boot... if it doesnt work, you know the timings were too tight :) ( it will reset the bios then)

The ram specs are 2-3-2-6, but I have no clue where these timmings go in the bios? Can someone help me with this?

I noticed there is some letters in brackets next to the timmings like (Trc, trcd, tcl or something like that im not on the machine right now)

2 is cas, 3 is trcd, 2 is trp and 6 is tras. If those don't fit with what you have in the BIOS, list what you have and we'll make them fit

OK so Ill set them like you have them there and let you know. There is a ton other timming also but I will leave them alone.

I found this sheet on kingstons website
http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX3200AK2_2G.pdf

Total kit capacity is 2GB (2048MB). Each module pair has been
tested to run at low latency timing of 2-3-2-6 at 2.65V. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard
latency timing of 3-3-3-8 at 2.6V. Each 184-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +2.6V.
The electrical and mechanical specifications are as follows:

Does this mean I have to up the Volts to?
