8800 series looks pretty sweet, and performs amazingly.. anyone know anything about ATI's response, or are they still going to hold a place in that market, since AMD bought them out...
i mean i type in ati.com and it transfers to ati.amd.com lol
 
The R600 is planning to be released sometime in the near future, which will blow the G80 away.

From what I hear, the power requirements of the R600 chips are likely to be significantly worse than those of the G80s.

I hear that as well. I also heard that one of the power adapters required will be a new, specially designed one, which will take in 250-300 watts of power, in addition to the 6-Pin PCI-E connector now.
