How do you clean your computer ?

I'll go through my usual routine and cause this is my first computer I have a few questions. this is what I do.

Start.
Control Panel.
Internet Options.
Deleat Cookies.
Deleat Files.
Clear History.

Start - Run - %temp%

Start - Run - Prefetch.

Start -Run - CleanMGR

Empty Recycle Bin.

My questions concern my latest task CleanMGR.

When the select window comes up, is the Presario (C) the only disk I clean ?
the other option is Presario_RP (D)

After calculating space the files window pops up with these choices:

[ ]Downloaded Program Files.
[x]Temporary Internet Files.
[x]Recycle Bin.
[ ]Temporary Files.
[x]WebClient/Publisher Temporary Files 32KB.
[x]Compress old files.
[ ]Catalog files for the Content Indexer.

Do I tick and highlight each file to clear it ? some of the files
have a tick and when the window opens the top "Downloaded Program Files" is highlighted.

Also the "WebClient" one never seems to empty and always has 32KB in it ?

what do i need to do with the files in the 'RUN' stuff like do i delete them?
 
CCleaner is a good program. Kinda ironic that C stands for crap. One would think a program with crap in the name wouldnt be a serious program. LOL
O well, none the less it still works good
 
for my last pc I used dynamite... it didnt find any spyware after i used it.. :D ( disclaimer: i never said it still booted up :P )

for the post.. thx for the link buzz,.. i think ill try that when im home again.. havnt cleaned my pc for 4 months now =]
 
I use CCleaner, it's amazingm, the first time I used it, it got rid of 1GB of stuff that wasn't needed!

Highly Recomended!
 
I use both CCleaner and Cleanup, for different reasons, try running CCleaner followed by Cleanup, you might be surprised!
