How much?

Well I've never heard that exactly, only that the more your HDD fills up, the slower it can go. Defragging helps relieve this. My biggest hard drive has 12GB left and I haven't noticed much of a slowdown yet so I don't think it is too important to leave 20GB on your HDD.

good to hear. i think i might leave like 10 or so on. im getting new ones anyway but they fill up to quickly. a nice terabite would do me. if only i had the cash! :D

I believe that the hard drive starts with using the outside of the sections, which spin by faster than the inside, so the last sections of the hard drive are slower than the first ones? Probably totally wrong :D

You don't really need to worry, Hard drives are cheap :)

ya. If you can upgrade, you might as well, though it is up to you whether you need more hard drive space :D In the US, the most cost effective size currently is 250GB.

It slowed my computer by a lot. I have about 12 GB left, used to be less. Now I can't even run Guild Wars because of the lag every 2 seconds.

I'll be getting an external to save some stuff so hopefully when I reformat it, it'll work smoothly.

Yeah im on 15gb now but ive had it to 2 before. but the new hdd is what i need. lets leave that for christmas! :D

i cant wait!

Scratch that about 250GB being the most cost effective. The 320GB hard drive is basically the same price per GB now, so it is up to you :D
