Acceptable FPS?

What FPS do you deem acceptable/playable?

i limit mine to 75fps... if it goes over 100fps the game goes too fast and my brain cant keep up. seriously i had halo at like 200fps and it goes so fast its not even cool...

it has nothing to do with being smart... are you smart? care to represent the the idea the all semistable curves of elliptic nature whose coefficients are rational are modular by degree (and provide a proof i you like ;) )
if you cant do it does that mean you aren't smart... no of course not...

;) but that doesn't mean we cant poke fun!!!

*POP* *Thud* *Gushing noise*

In retrospect (<-Wrong word) though, Although it may appear smooth at 40 fps, even at 30-ish FPS, but our brains still pick up those minute gaps and usually results in headaches and eye-sores after playing/watching after a prolonged period of time......

Unless I'm wrong, in which you can slap me on the wrist........

uh, I think you are wrong. I never get headaches from getting too many FPS...

hey i never mean to be insulting, but sometimes you just need to lighten up. why stop poking fun if there is no harm? anyways i just dont see the point of making this forum boring just because somebody could get their feelings hurt. (which would be completely baby-like lol)
[just my thoughts] i can understand that BLUE closed my link because it was talking aout a modded xbox, but all the other stuff makes no sense

hmm maybe your on to something there. maybe our brains arent in perfect sync with a computer so its like this:
computer 60fps: /////////////////////////////

your eye ~25fps: / / / / / / / / / / /

maybe every once in awhile you see a beginning of a frame and the next one you see is blank because it is refreshing. but this happens so wuick all you see is a minute black flash that is barely noticable....

i love pointing out the obvious :D :D :D
 
@ lovely? - try not to triple post, thats just annoying and theres an EDIT button for a reason.

I voted for 40, basically because thats about the average i get out of my crappy old FX5200 in CS:CZ and i dont see many problems with lag, obviously if i had an 8800GTX like some peopl round here, i might be saying different.... I'll be getting my new system after christmass which will have a 7900GTO so ill post back them.... lol

well.. its always fun till someone gets insulted.. and usually then its too late.. ;) and i never said you should make it boring.. however calling someone stupid looks pretty insulting to me, some people can stand it, some people cant. but usually when you find out, its once again too late. :o

yea.. call me a partypooper now, i really can't be bothered.. Im just warning you before someobe pushes it too far and people actually get pissed.
 
look i never called anyone stupid i suggested a rhetorical person that was stupid (learned that in english the other day lol)

i am truly sorry if anyones feelings were hurt tho all i ask is for people to lighten up just a little ;)

I would post 40 FPS but I guess that would defeat the purpose of creating the thread in the first place..... I guess, for me, 40 FPS seems to be the smoothest for me but I can still live with anything above 30......

Refund RMA'd the card and the PSU... :( needed to buy a laptop.. and with Black Friday coming I'm buying two for one :D

I'm sorry everyone! if it makes you feel better I'm going to be saving up for the R600 so maybe I'll just have to be the only one on the site with one of those, eh? :D didn't even get to play with the card though, PSU came DOA.. life sucks :cry:

Hmm... why would someone need a laptop anyway? :P ah well.. im still thinking of getting a GTS but from what i've seen, its just as good as the 7950GX2 (or barely better) while the GX2 is way cheaper to get.. so i'm still thinking about it.
