any try the Air Conditioning case out?

i want to try to take the AC part out of this case and add it to my own... should i or should i go for the water cooling???

they make AC'd cases? lol..

if it's cheaper than water cooling, go 4 it..

im sure it's alot safer than water cooling also..
 
I'd have to actually see the unit and all in order to tell you how to remove it. But man, if you're going to spend $200 on a case/cooler, I personally wouldn't touch it :P
 
yeah... but i like my Stacker 830 and i have lots of time on my hands... but i really like that ac thing...maybe i'll take it apart and post a how f up a 200 case...lol
 
uh, yea, ac cases are good, i saw one that kept the inside of the case @-40 degrees celsius... i would LOVE to overclock EVERYTHING in that case... but unfortunately i didnt have 3K at the time... what a pity lol
 
AC's are used for example in big PLC cases (well.. more closets) if the heat dissipation gets too big, but thats the only good use of a AC to cool electrical components, since usually those closets are several cubic meters.. so you cant do that with just Fan's.
imo, its pretty ridicculus to pay such an ammount of money just to keep the inside of the case cool. you could just as good buy a normal AC and cool down your whole room, that would drop the pc temps too.. ;)
 
I wouldnt take it out if you spent that much money on it. I also think its not really worth it. Unless you are really going to overclock to unimaginable OC. :P
 
From the looks of the picture, I think it's just bolted to the bottom... But I'm sure if you look around hard enough, someone's got to have another AC unit around that size... I know theres a rather large one that fits in a 5.25" bay. I havn't heard wonderful reviews on it, but I bet you could find something like that and modify it to be used inside your case rather than sticking out.
 
well, when you have lots of time like me, you want to do new things... but i'm not sure if i should fo water cooling or the A/C, i like the A/C because you don't see alot of those things
 
I own this case. I have the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 which idles around 37C A/C OFF at room temp of 23C, but with the A/C ON I run about 32C at idle with A/C temp pumping at 18C.
