Question about motherboard chipsets. Is an ATI card bad with Nvidia chipset?

I got a statment and a question. I have, and allways be a fan for AMD and ATI. There the best in my book. I am going to trade my current motherboard, processor, and ram for some money, then pair that money with some christmas money. I am looking at $450 bucks. I am going to buy an AMD X2 4200 Winsor, and 1GB DC Corsair XMS DDR2-800. But i am stuck on a motherboard. I am looking at a $50 - $80 dollar motherboard. I have an ATI X1900AIW PCI-X16. Would it be okay to pair it with a motherboard that has an Nvidia chipset? Would there be any conflicts? Or would it be worth it just to get an ATI or Via chipset?

Nothing to have to do with what you ask>

Why dont you get a cheap Intel Core 2 Duo. If your upgrading go a little further. I dont think you will regret it if you do, but if you dont you probably will at some point.

Well, i just checked out a C2D 6400. Its beats the X2 4200, but not by a lot in games, and thats another $40 more... Plus, i would rather stay with AMD.
