I was just wondering but is it ok to purchase products from ebay? Does anyone have any experience when it comes to purchasing hardware from ebay? Any suggestions or comments welcomed :)

I got my processor, motherboard, and OS from Ebay, and everything was good.

I think if the eBay user has lots of good reviews then it would be okay. Like say only 1 bad review out of every 100 good reviews.

I just bought a Graphics Card from an eBay user with that criteria and I am expecting it in the mail today or tomorrow, I will post back and let you know how it went.

i buy pretty much all my computer stuff off Ebay, just look at the guys feedback, like if he has 1500 items sold and his feedback % is below 80% i dont bid on, because i dont wanna get ripped off, not saying that i would, but feedback is very important..

im not down for Ebay in general but i couldnt really comment on computer parts but its just the age old watch what you've buying and read everything. and i hope you get what your looking for!

I ordered an external enclosure from ebay and it was JUNK. Get your PC parts from newegg, tigerdirect, etc

I have heard WAY too many reports of people getting ripped off for hardware on Ebay. Ebay totally blows. I have won two things from there, neither one hardware. One I got, one I didn't. It cost me $60, which I can live without, but I will never buy another thing off that piece of shit site.

um, actually I say put a positive review up for ebay

it has been great for me, I buy a lot and also sell a lot...

when I buy things, I have boughten around 50 things and had a couple times where I never received the item, but thanks to ebay, I either got all my money back, or the product was shipped to me.

so to me, ebay is a lot safer then a lot of places on the internet...

I once bought ALL of my components for my PC off eBay (this was 2 years ago) and it is still running perfectly fine!

:)

I just bought a new cable for one of my gadgets off eBay, and it was about a third of the price of what I would pay if I got it from the official company's website.

Listings will say if the item is new and in the box or if it is used. If it is new, and it isn't being resold because of damage, then eBay is an excellent option. People with good feedback records tend to care about their customers, so if there is a defect, they will usually accept returns.

exactly, and i just got my item today, everything was as the seller stated.. he has 99% positive feedback..

I have gotten a lot of stuff off Ebay and most of it was good.

All the PSU's (1 or 2 I think) Died 6 months after getting it but you get what you pay for :P, also I got ripped off on a couple of OS's.

But I got my CPU, MOBO, wireless keyboard\mouse and lots of other stuff, and they were all was good.

I have gotten a lot of stuff on ebay including my dell 20.1'' widescreen monitor had no problems with it no dead pixels and was cheaper then buying at dell with shipping included and it was brand new in box. i have bought memory off of there to and have had no problems with it either. Just make sure the seller has good feedback and read through the auction material thouraly to make sure your not getting scammed.

If you paid $500 for a bunch of tiles, you deserve whatever you get coming to you. lol. j/k. :P

I'm going to have to say there is no guarantee. I never got my movie.

I have bought 23 items off eBay and never once got ripped off. The items were anything from the computer, which is a Dell Dimension 9100, to a 4 piece Dewalt cordless tool set and anything in between. Everything is new too.

If there is anything I need, I buy it off eBay unless it will cost to much to ship. Right now I am looking at some energizer rechargeable D batteries and a charger. I don't buy from a seller that has less than 99% feedback.

You can save alot of money buying off ebay. You just have to take the time and watch what you are doing.
