Is this a good build?

That build is like the same as mine when i first put it together, its kinda scaring me. Did you see it? lol

Any way, I think you should look at this video card. It has a faster core clock and memory clock for 100 USD less!
XFX PVT71PUDP3 GeForce 7900GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card EXTREME---$185.99

And for the CPU fan, check this out
ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 2 Ball Cooling Fan with Heatsink---$42.99

Everything else looks really good, but your bottom three links are the same.
Also, look to get a better mobo, I loved that one at first but heard ECS is really cheap.

Anything else?

His prices are in CAD, whereas yours are in USD. The 7900GS is a good card, but the 7900GT is better (extra pipelines).

As for a cooler, this is one of the best at that price (OK, $2 over, but hopefully that won't be a problem :)): Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro

And i'd agree with the comment about switching the ECS motherboard.

Great minds think alike I guess. Thanks for the hookup on the video card, I decided to get it instead and I also decided to get the Zalman. Is Newegg in American or Canadian dollars?

I took a look and found this mobo http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2366122&CatId=1533 but I'm not sure if it's better or not. I'm guessing Asus is alot better.

EDIT: I guess I'm switching back to the GT

Why a 7900GT which has same core and memory as the one I showed when you could get a 7950GTX at like the same exact price?

Newegg is american, and much better than tiger btw, i learned that from this website just like u will.

Why are you wasting that much money on a motherboard? I strongly suggest saving your money and getting this instead:

As well, SATA cables will come with your motherboard, so you don't have to worry about that.

I'm just going to stick with the 680i because future processors with the 1333 FSB are supported as well as the fact that it has 3 PCI Express slots. Also it supports faster memory(up to DDR 1200).

Why? That board is waayyy overkill. If you were buying a 8800GTS or something, and the rest of your system spec were up to that par, I'd say go with it. However, your computer isn't a top of the line build (which is good, btw), and your other computer components will suffer for it.

Also, who says that anyone is going to utilize 3 PCI Express slots in the next year? Personally, I think they are going to have to make bigger computer cases so the motherboard can have enough room for everything.

Ya but it's a great mobo for upgrading, no?

Until Intel updates their socket (will be happening in the next while, considering the socket 775 has been in use for quite some time), or Nvidia finalizes their Physics/Sli setup. Until then, it is going to be good. I am just saying that it is a waste of money, considering before the Core 2 Duo era most people spent less than $115 on their motherboard.

Have you thought about doing Crossfire R600s instead of SLi 8800s? The R600 (coming in Feb.) is supposed to be better than the 8800GTX.

I never thought of the new socket thing, I'll do a bit more research but I think that just changed my mind. The physics/SLI is not going to be a problem because I doubt i'll invest into that for a while. About the R600's I dont think I would because I'm more of a Nvidia fan.

u obviously dont know anything...

the 7900 processes 24 pixels per clock tick

the 8800 gtx processes 128 pixels per clock tick...

do them math

if they had equal clock freq, the gtx would process pixels 5X as fast
