heej, im having a problem whit the volume of my line in, i tried boosting it whit the sound settings but they where at max already, im looking for some kind of a booster that will only adjust the volume of the line in to like 15 or 20 times more than what it is now.

What is the signal that you're feeding into the line-in? I take it you're refering to the line-in jack in the back of your motherboard. You should find there are two jacks, one for line-in and one that's labeled "mic". The line in feed is not amplified at all, meaning the signal has to be pre-amplified before it hits the system. The mic jack is amped by the motherboard itself, so you can do a lot more with a weaker signal.

unfortunately, it doesnt really work that way ( or at least i havnt figured it out then yet)
the only way I know how to hook up a guitar or bass to the pc is when you use a GuitarPort. as far as i know a guitar gets its feed trough the cable.. so it would drain the power from the Mic or line-in port from your pc,.. and im not sure if they can deliver the ammount of power needed.

like said, As far as i know.. I could be wrong ofcourse.

im getting clear sound from the line in, but i have to max out my boxes to get it, and my media player at 1/100 so that they are equal volume, im trying to get that 1/100 to about 9/10 (whilst keeping the same balance between music and bass) and keep the bass volume at the same lvl
