very very weid problem

A client called us me check probs with her pc.She said she cannot find her "documents","my computer" and all desktop programs (shortcuts).I thought she logged in another account but her very account.Really strange so i went to "documents and settings "-->"users desktop and all were there ( all desktop shortcuts and the docs also were there) but on her active desktop there were none.

what causes this ?...its just like when youve created another account but not the case !!
 
Try right clicking on the desktop, going to arrange desktop icons, then click show desktop icons. I think this is what your talking about.
 
no that's not it..it had nothing to do with the right click-->show icons or hide...everything on the desktop+documents just vanished in thin air..but it was there in documents and settings.....any suggestions
 
i meant C:/documents and settings/users desktop + users documents..they were there but not on the actual desktop or documents..GET IT ?
 
Control Panel/Display/Desktop tab/Customize Desktop/General tab (Desktop icons)
Mark what you want to be visible on desktop
 
no dude that's not it either..anyways i sorted it out.It was an account error.Each time that user logs in it says " error saving information/local account or something corrupted" i didn't see the full error but i simply created a new account and move her there.....thanks anyways
 
This is a known problem, still unsolved, I've heard of it a couple of times and there's no solution. I think it will be as usual in a few days, that's what happend to me and the other people who had this problem, it shows up and disappear in a few days.
