Zalman Fan mate

I bought a few of these Zalman fan mates (3 pin receiver and they get powered from the MB) and would like to hook my case fans to them (4 pin connectors). Can I just splice and solder them to my fan leads? How should I go about powering them?

You could...but it will void your warranties :P You might have been better off buying a straight front bay fan controller, but you can do that as well. :) Just make sure you get the right wires connected.

I really dont mind voiding my warranties on a few $5 products. What would I need to do......Splice the black and red wires together, what about the white and yellow wires?

It should be black to black, red to red, and yellow to yellow. The white wire shouldn't be needed
