Internet downloads = Slow

Guys,

I definatly think that my internets got slower.

Surfing web pages is fast and when playing multiplayer games online its fine but downloads seem to be very slow these past few weeks.

I would contact my Isp and explain whats up but they are so useless...All they do is say ooh your connection status looks fine from what we can see
The usual Balls**t they give.

Heres some info of my broadband internet speed...



And heres a small download im doing and it seems very slow...

As you can see the thing im downloading is only 21.2Mb yet its estimated to take 48 Muinites

Surely this cant be right? It never used to download this slow.

EDIT:I forgot to mention i have Unlimited broadband so no download limits...And that particular download i was downloading has now shot to estimated 1 hour +

I don't think anyone has unlimited bandwith. At some point, the isp will and can cut off your bandwith. There are many things that can factor in a situation like this.

Believe it or not, the weather can be a factor. The server speed's themselves. Whether you are on wireless or wired. Etc.

Also, that's a cable connection right? If a lot of people around your neighborhood is using it also, it can slow down at peak hours when everyone is using it and what not. What you can try is try to download it or download something at night or past midnight to see if it's any better.

If you aren't going to help, DO NOT POST. And no one cares about your dl speeds. THere is already a thread about that.

That is pretty odd. 7.3kb/s is rediculously slow. Maybe try and download that same file with IE and see if it is the same or different.
