i have a lot of icons some i dont what it is on my desktop. If I want to get rid of it how do i do it? Just right click my mouse on the icon and select delete? Dont I have tro go to the place where it is installed or wherever it is? How do i find that?

If you just want to free space on your desktop, just delete the icon. Doing this will not delete the program itself, just the SHORTCUT to the program. However, if you want to totally remove the program the icon is associated with, you have to uninstall (Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs) and it will remove the PROGRAM itself, including the icon.

Just be careful what programs you delete when uninstalling!

If you just want to delete the icons, just delete them via right click like you said. No need to delete the program unless you don't want the whole thing. Anything you see that has the shortcut arrow such as this:

You're pretty safe on deleting them off your desktop as they will still be in your start menu or program files folder.

What about setupicons, these can be deleted, right? They are not needed, right? And should I go to the root where they are from?

Yes, set-up icons can also be deleted like indicated above; This will not harm the program which has been previously installed by using this icon.

Just delete the shortcut icons?

Do i need to go to where the setupicon is installed or has other files?

Or right clicking on it and selecting delete?
