Patriot 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC22G5300LLK

"Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets."

Memory is DDR2 667 and 4-4-4 timing, volts are the same. Will this boot up the first time and will I need to change any BIOS settings?

Scrap that "rule". Just because they "aren't approved" doesn't mean they won't work. Your DDR2 667 memory is fine, and should overclock pretty good.
