Is this ok for gaming?

I couldn't get to the manufacturer's site off of the link there but the 1400x1050 is the max resolution not the typical 1024x768 or higer 1280x1024 seen in most newer games. Your card will supprt it while you most likely will never set your display to that when gaming to start with. The Radeon X1300 Pro used here supports higher resolutions while never being used. The move up to the X850 would be the optional move for better gaming while not needed to run that model lcd. The Radeon here supports 1920x1440.

it will be fine. it has a slightly wider aspect ratio than your average 5:4 1280 x 1024 19 inch monitor. yours the same aspect ratio as a 4:3 1024 x 768 15 inch monitor. another common max resolution for that size monitor is 4:3 1600 x 1200.
 
The 1024 is standard for just about every game with most supporting the 1280x1024 screen size. That model lcd offers support for higher resolutions with no indication of seeing any real problems. The video card itself should be seen able to support even higher. Just right click on the desktop and bring the display setting slider up all the way without applying but canceling the change to see where the highest is.
