Where does a person go to to find a site that lists how many pages can be stored on a 256mb, 512mb, or 1gb? i have a customer that asked my that and I can't find the info anywhere. Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ron

You can't measure storage size in pages. Or songs, or recording time, or anything like that. The only way to measure storage is in bytes. Therefore there is no answer to your question, unless every "page" is the exact same size.

Pages like a report or booklet

As bobo said, it varies greatly on how large each document is, and if there are any photos or anything in the document.

For fun, I took a document that I had written a while ago in Microsoft Word. The document is about 3/4 a page, single spaces, size 12 font.

So roughly, you could fit about 39,215 on a 1GB flash drive. But of course the actual number would vary greatly.

I'm getting a little more than that on a 256 drive... (about 43000) Basically, if they are going to be doing anything with test, that will be more than adequate...

Well my document that I used as an example was a 27KB Microsoft Word file.

Just say what the big guys say, "a 256MB jump Drive is the equivalent of 64 floppy disk worth of memory" Don't know if that statement is true cuz I didn't check but go with something like that.

just tell the Customer what it is equivilent too in Floppy Diskz. As in 256Mb Devided By 1.4mb Floppy

Answer is a 256 Stick is equivent to around 180 Floppy Diskz
